HAND DRAWINGS
These works from my year 2 history class have combined history to design clothes of different eras.
1920s I am referencing, the purpose of my design is a banquet, the level of fashion is haute couture, the market it is intended for elegant and occasion wear.
Art Deco and The Great Gatsby influenced my design. I used pearl sling, headdress, earrings, bracelet as decoration, this dress is not the thin waist, with gold and slivers to embellish the whole, let the dress look more noble and exquisite.
1930s I am referencing, the purpose of my design is a daily work environment, the level of fashion is ready-to-wear, the market it is intended for smart and casual wear.
Hollywood and Morning Glory influenced my design. I used Plaid cape and mermaid skirt to show the elegant and sexy charm of women in 1930s. With handbags and hats, it looks like more feminine.
1950s I am referencing, the purpose of my design is a banquet, the level of fashion is haute couture, the market it is intended for elegant and occasion wear.
New look influenced my design. Bubble sleeves, V-neck, bubble skirt, white irregular dots and cross colored diamond belt show the girl’s feeling. Diamond earrings and diamond necklace are more suitable for the banquet.
1970s I am referencing, the purpose of my design is a banquet, the level of fashion is haute couture, the market it is intended for elegant and occasion wear.
Hippie Movement influenced my design. I used leaf headwear leaf belt and the butterfly shape to show the nature, the white organza dress and gold ornaments make the whole look more gorgeous.
1980s I am referencing, the purpose of my design is a daily work environment, the level of fashion is ready-to-wear, the market it is intended for smart and casual wear.
Power Dressing influenced my design. I used vest with shoulder pads and black women’s shirt to show female charm and power,
Silver chain necklace and zebra print skirt let the whole modeling appear more fashionable and energetic.
1990s I am referencing, the purpose of my design is a daily life environment, the level of fashion is ready-to-wear, the market it is intended for street wear.
Street: Grunge influenced my design. Tie dyed denim stitching black loophole tops and patched denim pants have plaid skirts that show the feel of the street. Pigtails and some ornaments looks more the feeling of youth.
